Nanchang Changbei International Airport is located in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, China, approximately 28 kilometers from the city center. It is a 4E-level civil transport airport.

Nanchang Changbei Airport started construction on October 20, 1996, and was completed and put into use on September 10, 1999. In February 2004, Nanchang Changbei Airport passed the port inspection for foreign aircraft and was upgraded to an international airport. In 2006, the second phase of expansion and renovation of Nanchang Changbei International Airport broke ground and was completed and put into use in 2009. On May 23, 2011, the T2 terminal of Nanchang Changbei International Airport was officially opened.

According to comprehensive information in November 2018, Nanchang Changbei International Airport boasts a T1 terminal of 27,000 square meters and a T2 terminal of 96,600 square meters, with a runway of 3,400 meters and 51 parking positions, capable of accommodating the fullweight takeoff and landing of various large and medium-sized passenger aircraft such as A330, B777, and B747.

In 2017, Nanchang Airport handled 10.93 million passengers, representing a yearonyear increase of 39.0% with a net increase of 3.07 million passengers; the number of flight takeoffs and landings reached 89,000, up 35.2% yearonyear; and the cargo and mail throughput was 52,000 tons, up 3.3% yearonyear. These figures ranked 31st, 35th, and 34th in China, respectively.
